Ugljan got the first free charging station for electric vehicles

SUTOMIŠĆICA - After Zadar and Biograd, the island of Ugljan is the third destination in the Zadar County, where a free electric charger was installed.

The 44,000 kW power grid of the Croatian Telecom, partnered with the Preko Municipality and the owners of the marine company, Marina Signum d.d., in the Olive Island Marina in Sutomiscica, among which guests are the most owners with electric cars. 

The addition of a free electric fuel tank is further enriched the offer at Olive Island Marina, but also on the entire island, which has seen a significant increase in the number of tourists in recent years. In half an hour, the battery of a car is 80 percent, which is enough for 160 km of driving.

For using this service in Sutomiscica, a prior announcement is required and for the owners of the electric cars HT have made an online search of free fillers via mobile devices at puni.hr. With a special RFID activation card, HT fillers can also be activated with an SMS message as well as a special application.

 

The electric car charger on Ugljan is currently the only one on the Zadar islands, and in the last two years similar services are open on the islands of Krk (up to 11!), Cres, Lošinj, Novalja on Pag and Mljet.

Croatia has more than 130 charging stations and about 750 electric cars.
